Vacation:
We had a wonderful vacation! The mountains were just beautiful! I wanted to go to a place where we could find some antique malls and man did we hit pay dirt...! We went up to the Clayton, GA area and found more mountains than we could handle. There were big mountains and little mountains and mountains that grew on mountains.
We found the most beautiful cabin anyone would ever want to stay at... You could see for miles and miles. There was a valley below and mountains as far as the eye could see... We need to show you the pictures...because you won't believe that the cabin literally was built out from the side of the mountain... on stilts! When you went out on the deck you looked striaght down the side of the mountain... You probably think we were scared.... well, we were...so the next day we found another place to stay. It was a real nice, two story cottage! Cottontail Cottage.
Another time we went to travel to Highland City... guess what?.... it was high! The sign said "Highland City 9 miles." We started to travel up highway 64 (remember I said highway) and it did not seem too bad, but we noticed the truck engine starting to whine out... my rpms started going up and so did the truck... straight up! You're going to think I am kidding but I'm not... there was only aout two feet of grass to our right and sheer rock to our left... Another truck was coming our way and I have no idea how the two of us fit on this narrow road... So after I opened my eyes and saw that we made it, I just kept going... and going... and going...
It seemed like two hours had passed when finally a place to pull off the road came up .... and I took it... After everyone kissed the ground (not really, but we felt like it) we were ready to continue... I looked at the odometer and realized we had only gone 1 & 1/2 miles. When I told Trish and Heather about the short distance we had traveled, I saw in their eyes that they wanted to turn around... We never made it to Highland city that day (or actually any other day) but we sure had alot of fun doing other stuff.
Every time I could I would turn off the main road and try to find a new adventure... And we found many...(pictures later). The cottage we stayed at was also on top af a mountain, however, it was on solid ground... it was a really nice place... actually... I'm not kidding... it was really nice... the most emacualte cottage I have ever seen...
Our vacation was spent mostly relaxing, taking in the sites, checking out really cool places to eat, like "Oinkers" and walking around antique malls. When the time came to leave... we really wanted to stay longer... but we headed for home...
Once at home Trish and I started to get things in order... My usually work week was between 70 and 85 hours, which left little time for doing personal things. Trish and I have been working very dilligently to get our personal things caught up...I am also taking this time to complete my final class for my second major from Trinity Seminary.
Trish and I have also enjoyed going around and checking out other churches... It is so interesting to see how other churches minister to the community. Trish and I continue to pray as God leads us to do His will... I decided to start up this web site to be able to express to everyone our sincere thanks and love to all of you that have fellowshipped and supported us in the past. Trish and I look forward to many more years of fellowship ministry to the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ...
We will see all of you soon...
